Medsurant Health is comprised of the following wholly owned subsidiary practices: Advanced Medical Resources, American Intraoperative Monitoring, Bromedicon, Evokes, Medsurant Monitoring, Physiologic Assessment Services, and Sensory Testing Systems.
Each one of the above entities is managed by Medsurant Health. This management includes but is not limited to, credentialing, human resources, financial/billing operations, and day-to-day management functions.
Medsurant Health is one of the largest and most respected providers of neurophysiological intraoperative monitoring services in the country. Currently, Medsurant Health through its wholly owned subsidiary practices has developed contracts and service agreements with more than 400 hospitals and facilities as well as referral relationships with nearly 900 physicians/surgeons throughout the United States. Medsurant Health has over 200 Neuromonitoring professionals located throughout the country.
Staffing consists of MD/DO’s and clinical neuromonitorists who have a Bachelor’s, Master’s, Au.D. or PhD degree in the life sciences (neuroscience, biology, bio-engineering audiology, etc.). All clinical staff undergo a rigorous training program, which includes structured didactics and extensive supervised clinical experience that lead to defined competencies.
Medsurant Health offers intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring services to protect neural structures during brain, spine, and peripheral nerve surgery. By monitoring neural functions, complications can be detected early and action can be taken to reduce or eliminate permanent neural damage.
Neurophysiological monitoring services are performed onsite by a licensed health care provider, or with remote supervision of a neuromonitorist with professional interpretation of the intraoperative test results. Onsite neurophysiological intraoperative monitoring is done on a one-to-one basis. Intraoperative service provision is accomplished with strict adherence to CMS, private carrier and facility guidelines.
